Motivated employees are very important in today’s highly competitive & advanced business environment. Motivation is the collection of the status of the person’s necessities that needs to be satisfied & so that, influences, entices & conduces the person to perform a set of actions to satisfy them. Motivation can be identified as the psychological process, that leads towards behavior purpose & administration (Kreitner, 1955). According to (Robbins & DeCenzo, 2007), motivation is the preference to do something, proceed on the action’s capacity to utilize some requirement for an individual. It is not limited to employees, but also for each & every stakeholder of the company, as their motivation directly or indirectly contributes to the organization. stakeholders may be motivated by financial & non-financial benefits. But organizations mainly focus on employee motivation & follow strategies to increase their motivation. Both private sector & public sector employees need motivation. Two types of motivation can be identified intrinsic motivation & extrinsic motivation.

Intrinsic motivators are internal rewards or personal benefits that the employee directly feels at the time the task is performed. Intrinsic motivation leads the employee to become self-motivated or vitalized to perform well & provide a considerable contribution to the organization as well as the society (Newstrom & Davis, 2002).

Extrinsic motivators are external rewards or benefits, that take place aside from the nature of the task. But this type of motivation is not providing direct contentment at the time the task is performed. Salary increases, fringe benefits & lave time can be identified as extrinsic motivational methods that are mostly followed by business organizations (Newstrom & Davis, 2002).

There are different levels of employees who play different roles within the organization & motivational methods also vary accordingly. Both employees & the organization can be enjoyed with the benefits of motivation. Leaders in the company have the responsibility of improving employee motivation by focusing on each employee, as different levels of employees may be motivated by different motivators.
